Day 1 Colombo – Dambulla

The first day of your trip officially starts when you touch down at Colombo's Bandaranaike International Airport. Getting to Dambulla from there will take around 2 hours and 30 minutes in a comfortable automobile. You may take in the beautiful landscapes of Sri Lanka's countryside and verdant woods on the trip there. Once in Dambulla, you'll go see the rescued elephants at Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. These amazing animals are accessible for close observation and even feeding. After that, you'll go to your hotel for the evening.

Day 2 Dambulla

Spend your next day in Dambulla, a city with a number of historical sites worth seeing. The first stop on your journey will be the UNESCO Heritage site and rock fortress of Sigiriya. The stronghold is perched on top of a large rock and is famous for its well-preserved remains and historic paintings. After that, you'll go to Minneriya National Park, where you may see some of the most well-known wild elephants in the world. Take a jeep safari in the park to get up and personal with the local animals. You will check back into your Dambulla hotel in the evening.

Day 3 Dambulla – Trincomalee

You'll leave Dambulla and make the two-hour drive to Trincomalee. After making your way to Trincomalee, it will be time to settle into your accommodation and unwind. The remainder of the day is at your leisure for sightseeing and sampling the cuisine of your host city.

Day 4 Trincomalee

On this day of your trip, you'll have free time to explore Trincomalee. The Sri Pathirakali Amman Temple is your first stop; it's a well-known Hindu temple with beautiful architecture and art. The next stop is the historic fort of Fort Frederick, constructed by the Portuguese in the 17th century. The Koneswaram Temple is another well-known Hindu temple in Trincomalee that you will see. The Rawana Abyss is a natural pool surrounded by beautiful foliage that you will explore in the afternoon. At last, you'll reach Nilaveli Beach, a stunning stretch of sand and ocean noted for its brilliant blue water and powdery white sand.

Day 5 Trincomalee - Kandy

Today you will take a vehicle to Kandy, which is around two to three hours away from Dambulla. Along the trip, you'll visit the Matale Spice Garden to get insight into the medicinal and culinary benefits of the spices cultivated in Sri Lanka. You will then go to your hotel in Kandy for the night.

Day 6 Kandy

On the sixth day of your trip, you'll get the opportunity to explore Kandy, the cultural heart of Sri Lanka. The first stop on your trip will be the Kandy Temple of the Tooth Relic, a revered Buddhist shrine where a precious tooth relic of the Buddha is kept. The next stop is the beautiful Peradeniya Botanical Garden, home to many endangered species of plants and flowers. You may stroll around the garden and take in the scenic vistas at your own pace. You may unwind in your hotel room for the night.

Day 7 Kandy – Nuwara Eliya

En route, you will visit the stunning Ramboda Falls, a scenic waterfall with a height of over 100 meters. Upon reaching Nuwara Eliya, you will check into your hotel and have some time to relax.

Day 8 Nuwara Eliya

Day 8 is all about experiencing the tea culture of Sri Lanka. You will visit a Tea Factory and Tea Plantation in Nuwara Eliya, where you can learn about the tea-making process and even sample some of the finest teas. You will also visit Gregory Lake, a popular spot for boating and other recreational activities.

Day 9 Nuwara Eliya- Colombo

Today you will travel back to Colombo by car. Upon reaching the city, you will go on a city tour and visit some of its most iconic landmarks, such as the National Museum, the Gangaramaya Temple, the Beira Lake, the Colombo Fort area, the Independence Square, the Viharamahadevi Park, the Galle Face Green. You will also have some free time for shopping at Crescat Boulevard, where you can find some of the best shopping options in the city.

Day 10 Departure from Colombo

On Day 10, you will transfer to the airport for your departure back home, taking with you the memories of an amazing trip to Sri Lanka.
