When you get to your hotel, you may relax and take use of the facilities, or go out and see what the neighborhood has to offer.
Canoeing along the Madu River, one of Sri Lanka's few surviving wetlands, awaits you after a hearty breakfast. There are more than 70 different fish species in the river, and many other birds and animals call it home as well. As you go by boat, you'll make stops at a few different islands to learn about local businesses like cinnamon growing and fish farming. Following the boat ride, you'll stop at a turtle hatchery to meet baby turtles and hear about preservation efforts being made for this threatened species. You may spend your evenings relaxing on the beach or engaging in water sports like jet skiing and parasailing.
The trip to Yala, which will take you between three and four hours by car, will begin after breakfast. The Galle Fort, one of the best-preserved examples of a European-built walled city in Asia and a World Heritage site, will be your first stop on the journey. You will explore the maze of alleys and corridors inside the fort, which is home to many museums, galleries, and shops offering local wares. After lunch, you'll continue your trip to Yala, a well-known safari location.
You'll be getting up early to see leopards, elephants, and crocodiles on safari at Yala National Park today. After the safari, you'll go to Nuwara Eliya, a quaint mountain town surrounded by rolling hills and tea plantations. The Ravana Falls and the Nine Arch Bridge are two must-sees along the route. You may enjoy the clean mountain air and the comforts of your hotel room in the evenings.
In the morning, you'll get the opportunity to learn about the history of tea in Sri Lanka and taste some of the country's best brews during a tour of a tea factory and plantation. After that, you'll take a trip to Gregory Lake, a beautiful lake where many people come to go boating or have picnics. Afternoons are free for independent wandering or alternative pursuits like horseback riding or hiking.
After breakfast, you will embark on the roughly two-hour drive to Kandy. You'll be making a pit break at the beautiful Ramboda Falls along the route. The Temple of the Tooth Relic, after you reach Kandy, is one of the most sacred Buddhist sites in all of Sri Lanka. You will also visit the Peradeniya Botanical Garden, which is home to over 4,000 varieties of flora and trees.
It will take you around two to three hours to drive from Kandy to Trincomalee today. In Matale, you'll go to a botanical garden and learn about the spices and herbs for which Sri Lanka is famous. You will check into your hotel upon arrival in Trincomalee and spend the night there.
On day 8, you'll explore Trincomalee on a guided trip. The Koneswaram Temple, built in the third century BCE, the historic Fort Frederick, and the Sri Pathirakali Amman Temple are all must-sees. You'll get some sun and fresh air at Nilaveli Beach and the Rawana Abyss.
Today, you'll take the roughly 2-hour drive from Trincomalee to Dambulla. When you go to Dambulla, you'll take a trip to the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, another location on the UNESCO World Heritage List. After that, you'll check into your hotel room for the evening and night.
The trip to Colombo will take around 2.5 hours on day 10 of your trip. Along the way, you'll stop at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage to see some of these gentle giants up and personal. The first thing you'll do when you get to Colombo is going shopping and on a city tour, during which you'll see the National Museum, Gangaramaya Temple, Beira Lake, Colombo Fort, Independence Square, Viharamahadevi Park, and Galle Face Green. After dinner, retire to your lodgings for the night.
You will fly out of Colombo Airport on your last day in Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka's natural beauty, cultural diversity, and the warmth of its people will stay with you long after you've left.

This 11-day Sri Lanka tour was absolutly beutiful! From the misty tea estates in Nuwara Eliya to the golden beaches in Unawatuna, every place was so well planned. Our driver was very comfertable and polite, and hotels were neat and clean. Highly recomend this trip for anyone looking for a mixed adventure!
Absolutely loved every moment! Whale watching in Mirissa was amazinng, and cultural show in Kandy was so colourful. Transfers were punctual and bus was comfy. Travejar team made sure we had no worrries, definitely a 5-star tour!
Good overall experience with Travejar. Itinerary covered everything, from Sigiriya rock fortress to Yala safari, but travel between some cities felt a bit long. Food was tasty, though veg options were limited in some places. Still worth the money for the sights and service.
Very nice trip with lot of highlights, temples, tea plantations, and beach time in Mirissa. Some morning pickups were late, causing small hassel, but guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Overall smooth and enjoyable.
Tour was okeish but felt a little rushed in Kandy and Ella. Train ride was super-scenic but the coach was overcrowded. Hotel in Bentota was not up to expectations. Good value, but room for improvment in timings and hotel quality.
