8 Days Golden Triangle tour with Amritsar from Delhi

Day 1: Arrival in Delhi

You will arrive today in Delhi, the bustling capital of India. The remainder of the day will be yours to do as you please after settling into your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you can explore the local street markets or enjoy some of the regional delicacies that the city has to offer.

 

Day 2: Sightseeing in Delhi

Today’s full-day tour starts with a visit to the Red Fort, a symbol of Emperor Shah Jahan’s might. The tour then takes you to Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India. The journey continues to Jantar Mantar, which is an astronomical observatory built by Jai Singh in the 18th century. Next, you will visit the magnificent Akshardham Temple, the world's largest Hindu Temple complex dedicated to Lord Swaminarayan. Finally, we will visit the Raj Ghat, a memorial to Mahatma Gandhi, popularly known as the Father of the Nation. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay. 

 

Day 3: Travel from Delhi to Amritsar

Today you will travel to Amritsar after having a delicious breakfast. The holy city of Punjab, Amritsar, is known for its rich culture. You will reach here via train or flight. Check into the hotel and take a rest. You’ll be taken to the Wagah Border in the evening where you can enjoy the closing ceremony and Army band performances.

Day 4: Sightseeing in Amritsar and Delhi Departure

Today you will be visiting two of the most famous attractions of Amritsar: Golden Temple and Jallianwala Bagh. A visit to the Golden Temple will give you a glimpse into the Sikh religion. After that, you will visit the Jallianwala Bagh, where the British massacred hundreds of people peacefully protesting against their oppressive rule. After the sightseeing, you will head to the airport or railway station for your journey back to Delhi.

Day 5: Travel from Delhi to Agra

Today you will travel to Agra. Home to the Taj Mahal, Agra is steeped in history. On arrival, you will check into your hotel and have some rest. In the evening you will visit the iconic Taj Mahal where you can click some amazing pictures. 

 

Day 6: Travel from Agra to Jaipur

Today you will visit the famous Red Fort and Itmad-Ud-Daulah's Tomb, which is also known as Baby Taj. Later, you will drive to Jaipur, the pink city of India. En route, you will visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Fatehpur Sikri, and then resume your journey to Jaipur. Take an overnight stay in the hotel. 

 

Day 7: Sightseeing in Jaipur

Today is packed with sightseeing, starting with the Amer Fort. Then, you will visit the Hawa Mahal and the City Palace. You will also visit the Jantar Mantar, a notable astronomical observatory. Finally, you will take a stroll in the nearby market and explore the region’s unique culture.

 

Day 8: Travel from Jaipur to Delhi

Today you will return to Delhi. On arrival, you will check into your accommodation and rest before returning home.
