Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival at Tbilisi (Georgia)

Your trip will begin with a sightseeing tour of Tbilisi once you land at the airport. Your first stop will be the Metekhi Church, perched high above the city. You'll take a cable car up to the Narikala Fortress to see the city in all its glory. As you make your way down from the citadel, you'll pass Tbilisi's lone mosque and into the city's sulfur bathing quarter. After that, you may take your time exploring the shops, restaurants, and art galleries that line Sharden's streets. Following Sioni Cathedral and Anchiskhati Basilica on your tour will be the clock tower of the world-famous Rezo Gabriadze Theatre. Open Air Museum of Ethnography, a miniature Georgia, will serve as the tour's last destination. After a full day of seeing Tbilisi, you'll retire to your hotel for the night.

Day 2 Tbilisi – Mtskheta (approx. 40 mins) – Ananuri (approx. 45 mins) – Kazbegi (approx. 1 hr 30 mins) – Gudauri (approx. 50 mins)

On day two of your trip, you'll visit Mtskheta, one of Georgia's oldest cities and a major religious and cultural center. A true architectural marvel, the Jvari Monastery may be found there. After that, you'll go to Mtskheta's most revered cathedral, Svetitskhoveli. After there, you'll go to the Ananuri complex, which was formerly the Argveti Dukes' residence. The next stop is Kazbegi, a picturesque village on the base of Mount Kazbek. The Holy Trinity Church of Gergeti is a must-see. Day 3 Gudauri – Gori (approx. 2 hrs) – Borjomi (1 hr 20 mins) – Akhaltsikhe (approx. 50 mins)

On day three, you'll take a trip to Gori to check out the Stalin Museum there. The next stop is Uplistsikhe, a cave-dwelling community. After that, you'll go to Borjomi, a beautiful resort town in central Georgia known for its healing mineral water and many natural springs. You'll keep going until you reach Akhaltsikhe, where you may check into a hotel for the night.

Day 4 Akhaltsikhe - Vardiza (approx. 1hr 15 mins) – Tbilisi (approx. 4 hrs)

Today you'll go to Akhaltsikhe to see the Rabat Fortress. The next stop is at Vardzia, Georgia, a city in the south that has a grotto and monastery from the early Christian era. You will return to Tbilisi for the night after your visit to Vardzia.

Day 5 Departure from Tbilisi

You will enjoy breakfast at the hotel on your last morning of travel before checking out and making your way to Tbilisi Airport for your flight back home.
