Day 1 Arrival at Cairo

A representative will be waiting to greet you when you land in Cairo, and then you'll be taken to your hotel. Relax and be ready for the thrilling journey that lies ahead.

Day 2 Cairo

The Great Sphinx and the Pyramids of Giza, two of the world's most recognizable structures, will be your destinations today. Explore these historic sites and reflect on the ancient Egyptians' remarkable engineering and architectural achievements. Then, go to the Egyptian Museum to see artifacts from ancient Egypt, such as Tutankhamun's golden mask.

Day 3 Cairo

The Citadel of Saladin, a towering stronghold essential to Cairo's past, will be your first stop after breakfast. Check out two of Cairo's oldest and most stunning churches next: the Hanging Church and the Church of St. George the Martyr. The next stop on your journey should be Khan El-Khalili Bazaar, one of the Middle East's oldest marketplaces dating back to 970 AD. Before winding down at the hotel, you may go out and buy some local souvenirs and artisanal goods.

Day 4 Cairo – Nile Cruise - Aswan

After breakfast, you'll be taken to the Cairo airport for your one-hour domestic flight to Aswan. You'll be whisked away to your floating hotel on the Nile as soon as you arrive. The High Dam, one of the biggest rock-filled dams in the world, the Unfinished Obelisk, and the Temple of Philae will be your first stops after checking in. Get back on the cruise for the night.

Day 5 Nile Cruise - Kom Ombo - Edfu

You will be sailing to the Kom Ombo Temple, which honors the gods Horus and Sobek while eating breakfast on board. Enjoy lunch on board as you sail to Edfu, where you can see the Temple of Edfu, another of Egypt's most stunning and well-preserved ancient sites. Come back to the cruise ship for dinner as you sail toward Luxor.

Day 6 Nile Cruise – Luxor (West Bank)

After a hearty breakfast on board, you'll disembark and make your way to the West Bank of Luxor, where you may see some of the most important ancient Egyptian monuments. The first visit will be to the amazing Valley of the Kings, where 62 pharaohs, including the well-known King Tutankhamun, are buried. You will also go to the Valley of the Queens, where the Pharaohs' concubines and offspring were laid to rest. The next stop on your Egyptian adventure is the stunning Temple of Hatshepsut. It has a beautiful setting, being cut into a rock and surrounded by mountains. Return to the ship for lunch and free time before continuing the trip is the next stop after the visit.

Day 7 Nile Cruise – Luxor (East Bank) - Cairo

The last morning of your Egypt trip for 9 days will begin with breakfast before you disembark. The beautiful Karnak Temple, ancient Egypt's biggest and most significant religious complex, will be your next stop. After that, you'll see one of the most important ancient Egyptian landmarks, the Temples of Luxor. It's an enormous complex of religious structures that dates back to the 14th century BC.

You'll make your way to the Luxor airport in the afternoon so you can catch a local aircraft to Cairo. When you finally reach Cairo, you may settle into your hotel and take it easy.

Day 8 Cairo – Alexandria (approx. 2.5 hrs) - Cairo

Visit the "Pearl of the Mediterranean"—Alexandria—on day eight of your tour. Famous for its stunning waterfront, historic structures, and cultural sites, Alexandria is Egypt's second-largest city.

In homage to the Ancient Library of Alexandria, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, you will go to the New Alexandria Library. The Catacombs (Kom el Shoqafa) will also be on your itinerary. These are the burial sites for early Christians. You will also go to the Roman Amphitheatre, which was used for public performances back in ancient times.

Further, you will also see the Citadel of Qaitbay, a stronghold built in the 15th century to stave against Ottoman invasions, and Pompey's Pillar, the largest monument column in Egypt. You will then return to Cairo by car and spend the rest of the day at your hotel.

Day 9 Departure from Cairo

The last morning of the 8 Night 9 Days Egypt Tour Package comprises a hotel breakfast before departure. Your transportation to Cairo International Airport for your trip home will bring to a close an unforgettable Egyptian adventure.
