The next stop is the Egyptian Museum, where you can see the most priceless items from ancient Egypt, including those formerly owned by King Tutankhamun.

Day 3 Cairo – Alexandria (approx. 2.5 hrs) - Cairo

Alexandria, the "Pearl of the Mediterranean Sea," is roughly 2.5 hours distant from Cairo, so on day 3 you'll make the trip. You'll check out the New Alexandria Library, a cutting-edge facility inspired by the ancient Library of Alexandria, one of the world's biggest and most important historical libraries. After seeing the Roman Amphitheater, you'll go to the Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa, an ancient necropolis dating back to the 2nd century AD. You will also see the Citadel of Qaitbay, a 15th-century stronghold constructed on the site of the ancient Pharos Lighthouse, and Pompey's Pillar, the largest monument column in Egypt. You will be driven back to Cairo and checked into your hotel after the trip.

Day 4 Cairo – Nile Cruise - Aswan

In the morning, you'll have breakfast at the hotel before being transferred to the airport for your flight inside Egypt to Aswan, where you'll embark on your Nile cruise. When you get there, you may check out the Unfinished Obelisk, a colossal obelisk whose construction was abandoned before it was completed, and the High Dam, the biggest rock-filled dam in the world. You will spend the afternoon seeing the stunning Temple of Philae, an Isis shrine, before returning to the ship for supper and the night.

Day 5 Nile Cruise - Kom Ombo - Edfu

On day five, after a hearty breakfast at sea, you'll arrive at Kom Ombo, where you may pay your respects to the gods Horus and Sobek in the Temple of Kom Ombo. After that, you'll keep on sailing to Edfu to see the Temple of Edfu (also known as the Temple of Horus), one of Egypt's most stunning and well-preserved ancient structures. After supper, you'll go back to the boat as it sails to Luxor.

Day 6 Nile Cruise – Luxor (West Bank)

The Valley of the Kings, on the West Bank of Luxor, houses the tombs of several pharaohs and their families, including the fabled Tomb of Tutankhamun, which you will see after breakfast. You will also see the Colossi of Memnon, two enormous stone sculptures of Pharaoh Amenhotep III, as well as the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, one of the most remarkable buildings in all of Egypt. You'll take a break for lunch while at sea, then spend the afternoon doing anything you choose.
