How To Reach Taj Mahal


By Bus
You may take the bus from either of the two major interstate bus terminals, Idgah Bus Stand, which is located 8 kilometers from the Taj Mahal, or ISBT, which is located 12 kilometers from the Taj Mahal Agra.

By Train

Agra has five railway stations: Agra Cantt Station, Agra Fort Railway Station, Raja ki Mandi Railway Station, Agra City Railway Station, and Idgah Railway Station. The Taj Mahal is a short distance from Agra Cantt railway station, and one may reach there by pre-paid cab, auto-rickshaw, or even cycle rickshaw.

By Car

The NH2 and the new Yamuna Expressway connect Agra to Delhi. The car ride will take around 4-5 hours, depending on traffic and time of day. A four-hour drive connects Jaipur to Agra via NH11. Gwalior is a 1.5-hour drive away through NH3, while Lucknow and Kanpur are between a 2-hour and 5-hour drive apart via NH2.
