Ma’in hot springs, also known as Hammamat Ma’in are a chain of hot mineral springs and waterfalls located between Madaba and the Dead Sea in Jordan. Located in Ma’in Jordan, the area contains 63 springs with different temperatures but a similar composition of chemicals like sodium, calcium, chloride, radon, hydrogen sulfide, and carbon dioxide.
The hot springs are divided into two locations, one is Public and the other is Private Springs. The public hot springs consist of a multilayered pool filled with water that directly comes from the waterfall and can be used free of cost. If your pockets are tight this public site should be preferred. If you want much more comfort and have come for medical purposes, go for private resorts. The Ma’in resort with a private pool filled with water from the hot springs where you can enjoy the bath day and night whenever you prefer. Just behind the hotel, there’s a large waterfall which can be enjoyed inside pool rooms or from the restaurant.
The best time for Full Day Tour To Hammamat Ma’in Hot Springs is between November to March because the water in the hot spring is hot and during summer it may be unbearable. If looking for a historical site, Ma’in is very close to Mukawir where John the Baptist was imprisoned according to the holy texts.

By Car: Rent a car and drive to Hammamat Ma’in Hot Springs from Amman via the desert highway following the signboard or simply use Google Maps. It will probably take around 2 to 3 hours to reach the destination.
By taxi: You can take a taxi to Ma’in Hot Springs but you need to be good at price negotiation.
By Public Transport: No direct public transportation is available from Amman but you can take a bus from Amman to Madaba, and then arrange a taxi to the Hammamat Ma’in hot spring.
