The Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization houses nearly 5,000 Islamic artifacts from throughout the world, which are shown in seven themed halls, six of which are dedicated to holding permanent exhibitions.

The Abu Bakar Islamic Faith Gallery is dedicated to the history and nature of Islam, Islamic principles, and the Holy Qur'an. The five pillars of Islam, the roots of the Islamic religion, are given here, as are the ceremonies of Hajj and Umrah. In this exhibition, visitors may witness lifelike sections of the Ka'aba as well as original parts of the Ka'aba's dignified clothing, the "Kiswah," rare ancient Quran manuscripts, and model figures and images of mosques and their construction from throughout the Islamic world and Europe.
