Mandore Garden

Geographically, the Mandore Garden is near the Thar Desert which means visiting the place during summer makes you sweaty. So it is suggested that the best time to visit the Mandore garden is during the winter season, that is from October to March. Throughout this time you can have a complete tour of the garden with ease.

Get away from the noise and bustle of Jodhpur in the tranquil Mandore Garden. Beautifully planted gardens provide a tranquil environment, particularly during the week. Birds and fish swim in the little lakes that dot the gardens. On weekends, Indian vacationers flood the gardens, you can visit during the week when there are just a handful of permanent residents there.

The museum houses a collection of artifacts and sculptures discovered in the region. As you make your way up the hill, you'll eventually reach the remains of the city of Mandore, with its ancient fort and palace. Ten minutes up the hill will bring you to the stunning cenotaphs of the Maharani, which is among the best things to do in India.

High rock terraces and a lovely mix of temples and shrines make the Mandore garden in Marwar a must-see. These memorials were constructed in the style of a Hindu temple rather than the traditional chhatris seen in Rajasthan; each was four storeys tall and had magnificent columns and an attractive spire made of red sandstone. The cenotaphs' interiors are just as ornate as their exteriors. Beautiful examples of Hindu architecture, such as columns with ornate floral carvings, may be seen here.
