The general public can also enter from this side, however, tickets are slightly more expensive. Furthermore, there is some additional walking from this gate to the main palace building.

Things To Do at City Palace


  • After passing through the Tripolia Gate, there are several other beautifully carved edifices to explore within the palace complex, including Suraj Gokhda, Dilkhush Mahal, Bhim Vilas, Krishna Vilas, Sheesh Mahal, Mor-chowk, Surya Chopar, Moti Mahal, Shambu Niwas, and Amar Vilas opposite the Badi Mahal.
  • Badi Mahal includes a swimming pool and a hall with some of the greatest miniature paintings from the 18th and 19th centuries. Bhim Vilas also contains wonderful miniature paintings.
  • The Zenana Mahal, also known as the women's quarters, is a lovely structure with features such as colored windows, balconies, tiled walls, and flooring. It has been transformed into a museum and is available to the public.
  • The Mewar music and light show, 'The Legacy of Honour,' takes place between 7 and 8 p.m. at Manek Chowk. It is one of the most beautiful things to do in Udaipur that should not be missed since it is a fantastic chance to learn about Rajasthan's rich history.
  • One of the most appealing attractions exhibiting the culture and history of the Mewar dynasty is the City Palace Museum.
